The 2D Design and 2D 2.5D Machining tutorials cover the basics of vector drawing and toolpathing.

The Tips and Tricks videos cover a variety of hints and time saving ideas that were shown at the 2011 Vectric User Group Meeting.

I am busy setting things up with the Government to setup a small shop and help me get off Disability here in Ontario Canada and the Lady helping me setup startup funding has asked if there is any training program I can take that will help me with the software Patrick.

Ive attended a couple of these meetings, great source of information.

Ill have to admit Ive been unable to attend for the past two years, however the two I did attend were excellent.

At that time I believe James Booth lived in Toronto and made the trip to Guelph for some informal training and answered any questions we had with Aspire or Vcarve.

I think that you probably need a mentor more than an instructor.

Find someone who is knowledgeable cutting plastics, someone who knows sheet goods and cabinet applications, maybe someone who has HDU experience.

There are many people on this forum who gladly share their expertise.

Identify those people, and start building relationships.

I am willing to help in any way I can and as John says everyone here will always answer questions.

The video library is very comprehensive and well planned to incrementally get the user up to speed.

Best of all, its absolutely free Set aside a few hours each day for training and youll be machining in a week.

This forum is also quite amazing in terms of speed and accuracy of getting help.

Even though I still miss Kentucky I sure am glad we have a great social system here in Canada to help me out with this.

After you go thru the tutorials, find a design you would like to make and work only on that project.

You will refer back to the tutorials and even ask questions here, but for me, working on something from scratch will help you find the potholes quicker.

We all had to learn in our own way, and for me thats was the best.

As long as I learn a little something, I feel I have gotten a little closer.

Sorry I dont have an easier answer, but learning takes time.
